Drive-thru Weekend Iftar Program

Main Line Muslim Society is excited to introduce the first ever Drive-thru iftar event. We will be offering families free meals at the time of iftar on Fridays and Saturdays throughout Ramadhan (pending funds availability). The meals will be distributed to cars in the parking lot of our current location behind St. Lukes Methodist Church. The entrance to the parking lot is from Pennswood Road. The address of the church is: 568 Montgomery Avenue, Bryn Mawr, PA 19010.

This is a community run event and we need your support in making it a success! Please see below for sponsorship categories.

$180 to sponsor 1 person for the entire month

$720 to sponsor a family of 4 for one month

$1500 to sponsor one evening for 100 meals

$3000 to sponsor 1 evening for 200 meals

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, “Whoever feeds a fasting person will have his sins forgiven and will be saved from the hell-fire. He will earn the same reward as the one who has fasted without diminishing the latter’s reward in the slightest.” The Companions said, “Not all of us find that with which to feed a fasting person.” The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, “God gives this reward to whoever breaks another’s fast, even if with a mouthful of milk, a date, or a sip of water.” This hadith highlights the reward of feeding a fasting person and the rank such a person has with God. Moreover, this hadith is general and does not restrict the reward to feeding only the poor.
